DESCRIPTION
The VLTOR CMRD is an extended length AKM style handguard constructed from aircraft grade 6061 T4 sheet aluminum and finished in a durable black Type III hard coat anodized finish.
The CMRD handguard is resilient but light. As one of the lightest on the market in this extended length, the CMRD handguard with all mounting hardware comes in at exactly 14 oz.
The CMRD handguard is compatible with AK's that have AKM style furniture, however the sling loop on the lower handguard retainer will need to be removed prior to installation. The CMRD handguard fits most stamped and milled AKM variants with a barrel diameter of between .670"-.685".
NOTE: The CMRD handguard does not fit Yugo pattern rifles.
NOTE: Do not recess the muzzle device underneath the handguard, as this could damage the rifle and/or cause personal injury.
